Description SPE has thoroughly tested vehicle uses & real world applications when designing our intakes. SPE found through dyno, street, and race testing that open filters performed the best all around. Our intakes are designed with overall performance being the major player. Our Intakes are not designed around stock applications, they are designed around performance oriented applications. Through testing in real world situations at higher than stock power levels most box/sealed designs are unable to supply the filter with enough air volume at low vehicle speeds. Meaning to simply function properly, it’s best for the vehicle to be moving with the help of atmospheric pressure. For most people this is fine; however there are many problems with this in a performance vehicle aspect. Thus, the SPE Air Intake System was designed.
Flow Volume SPE uses all of the provided space in the engine bay to give the customer the most tube volume as possible. There are no inserts for the MAF to neck them down to a factory tube size. The reason we do not use inserts is that it hurts performance and defeats the purpose of a performance intake since it’d be truly only factory size then.
Mold Design Our intakes are designed to look as good as they perform. We take extra time and care in our mold design to make them as seamless as possible so that they are aesthetically pleasing. This means, there’s no ridged, raised parting lines. We keep MAF locations out of plain sight as well. This meticulously engineered design leaves the customer with a smooth, clean look that performs.
Integrated Mounting All of the mounting points are integrated into the intake mold. That means there are no metal brackets to flex, bend, rust, or break. This also simplifies installation.
Air Filter Design SPE has also designed the air filter for each application. We don't do a one size fits all, like some of the competition. The filters are designed specifically to fit the space properly and flow as well as possible. They are manufactured with non-woven cotton material layers which are maximized for filtration and performance. The filters are able to be run dry, for max performance, or oiled, to help filter even better.
SPE prides itself on the design process for all aspects of our products; this is the foundation to any well made part. Our filter mold design is no different. SPE makes sure that when our filter molds are manufactured it's done with max quality in mind. We pride ourselves on controlling pleat bleed so that the surface area is not altered, hindering airflow and performance of the filter. This is all done through tedious engineering.

The intake went in exactly as described in the directions and fit like a glove. Also pictured is the coolant re-route hose that sits on top of the radiator. Also installed, but clearly not visible, is the low temp thermostat that I put in since the coolant was out for the other work I finished. Loved the quality/directions and look of how it cleans up my 6.7!

Definitely flows more air than I expected! Fuel mileage has increased 2 mpg. I love how big the inlet tube is and the air filter is top quality! My truck is a 2012. Ready for more upgrades!

I bought this air intake for my 2019 6.7. Man I love this thing. Immediate progress, and almost perfection. Next stop, Piping kit. SPE has the greatest products, got my cold side, my hot side, diff lock, and my favorite t-shirt. Can't wait! Thankful for the efficiency of these products, and the longevity it adds to the life of my truck.
Ordered the fresh air system in June, delivery kept getting pushed back (last update was 1-10-22). SPE offered a solution of refunding their unit for credit on an S&B closed box system. When the S&B filter came in I installed it and sadly figured out I cannot use it on my truck. The Tuscany edition FTX's hood will not close with the box system in place as the filter box sets too high and the ram air inlet hits the box. So, now I have a filter I cannot use nor return. Although it was money not well spent on my part, I do not hold the blame on SPE and will most definitely be a returning customer. Their customer service is amazing and I like their products.
Easy install, great customer service ( original order was for SPE CAI which has been back ordered so they swapped it and shipment came fast! ) SPE will continue to have my business without a doubt!
Easy install, gave the 6.7 a little growl inside the cab, slight bump on turbo noise. I didn't scroll all the way down when I purchased it so I got a check engine light... Other then that and the obstacle to get rid of it, it's great intake!

Fitment was great with this filter and looks good. Always cool to free up some space shedding that big bulky box from the factory. 15 min install and away I went!
Recently purchased 2015 f250, saw some videos online referring to Snyder Performance products, really like the quality of the equipment and the guys behind them. Installed the CAI and noticed the whistle right away from the turbo was louder, waiting on the intake piping kit to arrive. Customer service and response from the company is #1 also. All around very happy thus far and will continue to rep their products!
Switched from S&B CAI to SPE’s intake but I wanted to keep the battery relocation. The 11-16 SPE intake worked great for this! Need to fashion a clamp to the battery box and bolt to the intake.

Easy to install and sounds good.
Finally got some nice weather and got around to putting this intake on today. The intake was quick an easy to install and definitely flows alot more air than stock. I'm still running a stock twin scroll turbo and the intake definitely allows you to hear the turbo alot more But who wouldn't want that anyway
Fit and finish were great, 15 minute install. Just waiting for the piping kit to finish it off.

First off, this is one massive air intake (fit was a bit tight with the egr coolant lines). Second, turbo spool is constantly heard from the cabin (if you don't like that sound, I suggest going with a smaller diameter like a K&N Blackhawk). Thirdly, and most importantly, there is now massive response in my throttle (little to no turbo lag when stomping the pedal to the metal). Can't wait to install more of SPE Performance's products to get this truck running lean and mean. I highly suggest going for this intake. It's worth every penny.

Just put it on tonight and went for a ride. Throttle response is better and she’s getting the air it needs. I thought I would hear the turbo a lot more but it’s not bad and about perfect. Can’t wait to get your tunes for this intake next. Glad I choose your intake over the others. The tube is so perfect finish and smooth inside and out. Satisfied with the cold air intake overall. A few comments, the fit is very tight and hits hard on the top overflow tank for radiator. Can definitely hear the turbo spooling while idling and under acceleration. Had to remove while waiting on my EZ Lynk to come in as it caused a couple of codes to pop up. Cant wait to have everything arrive so I can reinstall. We be returing to purchase more items in the near future.
Awesome product! Fits perfect! Quality is 4.9 out of 5(Found a void in the point where it mounts to the grommet near the battery, structurally it’s still good). Definitely need a tune to support this system.
Super easy install start to finish around 20 minutes. I don't here the extra turbo sound. Slightly more responsive. I feel like mpg went up, but I will verify and update. I feel they went quite a bit.
I love the fact that I can hear the turbo spool as I drive. This was the best decision that I made. I will be purchasing all my performance from SPE Motorsports.
