My oil seems cleaner with the filter and the SPE oil pan but the oil filter is more expensive than the Ford stock but then again I’ll be changing my oil at 12,000 or 10,000 instead of 5000 now I was told the cat filters were cheaper but the best price I can find the SPE short one is at $54 plus shipping Ford stock is 34. I don’t know.

The oil filter housing was surprisingly easy to install and I love the cat filter as far as filtration goes. Such a way better filter than the factory size filter.

The oil filter housing fit and finish is exceptional but honestly other than the filter being a genuine CAT product the most impressive thing about the filter is the way that SPE packages and ships the filter. The packaging is robust and all but eliminates any potential damage that could occur during shipping

I think it’s funny how other diesel “parts” companies are trying to copy SPE CAT diesel filtration system with some kinky ass adapter. Haha. I be leaving comments on their Facebook parts marketing videos telling people to go to SPE to get the real deal and not some spacer just to thread in a filter with the small OEM oil filter housing ports
